The Unique & Local Content program is now the Open Strategies & Digital Content (OSDC)! Our name change better reflects the breadth of initiatives and services in this program.
The Open Strategies & Digital Content (OSDC) program advances flexible, scalable approaches to open publishing and discovery across the research lifecycle, and provides services for management of unique and local content.
The program charges working groups and holds scheduled open calls with members.
Current services under the OSDC program include:
- Archives & Manuscript Collections, which provides enhanced access to thousands of archival and manuscript collections in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, and Washington through the Archives West website, and support for archival collection management.
- Copyright First Responders Pacific Northwest, which supports training and community of practice in copyright education for front-line library staff.
- Digital Collections, which supports the creation, maintenance, and aggregation of unique digital content held by Alliance libraries.
The program has also supported initiatives around Open Educational Resources, and best practices for discovery and management of unique materials in the shared ILS.
