Background information:
  • OCLC symbols for Alliance members. by member
  • Notes from Overview-Introductory meeting (phone) with OCLC
  • Holdings in OCLC: Overview and options
  • Batch processing: OCLC documentation.
    • Bibliographic Record Snapshot Q&A from OCLC with lots of detail on Holding and OCLC symbols, record consolidation, and more
    • Matching algorithm: information coming soon (by end of July) on OCLC matching algorithm, role of material type in matching, etc.
    • More description from OCLC about Batch loading and Reclamation.
    • Testimonials on batch processing and reclamation projects
  • California Digital Library's UC/OCLC project. Especially interesting:

    • Cataloging and Metadata Common Interest Group (CAMCIG), some information about reclamation in minutes of meetings 2007 June and Nov. 2007, and Jan. 2008.

Examining local database for holdings or bib. records not in OCLC. How many records from each member are "non-OCLC"?

Here's a list of some topics for all subgroups of Catalog to get the ball rolling. The group will refine and expand this list as it develops the scope of work to be done.
