Summit Borrowing information handout for patrons
Purpose, description, and use:
to briefly describe Summit Borrowing
for library patrons. This half-sheet handout succinctly describes Summit
Borrowing as an automated interlibrary loan service for currently enrolled
students, faculty, and staff at member institutions. It explains that the patron
searches the union catalog, then simply follows on-screen instructions to supply
name and ID number to initiate the request. It includes what materials may be
borrowed this way, the loan period, the commitment to rapid delivery, and a list
of member institutions.
Short
and general description for “new” patrons. This is printed on light gray
paper, two-sided half sheet (i.e. printed two per sheet, printed “landscape”).
For
materials prepared by individual members, Alliance staff can review for latest
info, policies, etc.
