Loaning more materials!Testimonials from members loaning other types of materials (audio, video, and other collections) The Council adopted the following motion at the October 2005 meeting:
Since that meeting, several members have started loaning more via Summit. The following information is the latest available (April 2008) New reports! Report: non-book materials loaned by members. Table showing types of non-book materials loaned by members. The numbers represent the number of IType codes mapped for "circulating." This is grouped in "generic" types so that all sound recordings are grouped together, all film/video formats are together, etc. Note that almost all members are loaning some sort of film/video material, and about half are loaning some music or spoken word sound recordings. Initial project, Summer 2006 New codes and updated mapping: Members have contacted Alliance staff to add and update parameters for Summit Borrowing:
Changing records to use existing codes and mapping : Members are changing the "non-requestable" code for some materials to another code already set up to allow requesting through Summit. Alliance staff do not need to be involved but are available to consult for options, advice, etc. Recent actions we know of:
