ILL number null
Request not found at your location with ILL number null and barcode 0000102747714
Apparently half the stack of items she was processing resulted in similar error messages. When I go into the record ... the barcode is correct and the action actually DID go through. Also, I can
find the item by L/B number, but not by barcode – even though the
barcode in the record matches the item I’m scanning.
An error occurred processing ILL number null
The items have actually being actioned appropriately, in
spite of the error message. ... have to look up each request to see if
it was processed correctly.
Solution used at EWU, Oct. 2009:
EWU has switched from using Internet Explorer (IE) to using Firefox to return and check in Summit materials in Batch, using barcodes.
I am not aware of any problems here in “receiving” Summit items in IE
(such as Johanna mentioned), so we continue to use IE, our default web
browser, to receive and send.
Handed over for Manual Processing due to error - Circ system error (Attempt to authenticate User was unsuccessful, the reason for the failure is unspecified. Setting the request to Check Error. Hold for rota item 0 by Unexpected Value Unknown Control Number failed.
Item is not known. Request was refused by the circ system.)
Status = "In Process". Authorization = "Check Error" . Last Action = "REQUEST-Indication". In Use On Loan [but item is available] . FAULT: MESSAGE: No III Action for action "1".
(OCLC: "an issue on one of our web machine (web02), the
other machines were behaving fine. We've reset the problem machine and
I see requests are coming in correctly now on it.")
Expiry date warning Will-Supply-Date may be later than Expiry-Date
May be stuck in New Requests queue. Authorisation status may be "For Manual Acknowledgement" [sic]
We are exploring both uses of the term "Expiry Date": User (patron) Details, and Service Request Details.
- Patron: This can occur when data in Master EZProxy is not in synch with local patron record and NRE. Expiration date in patron record at home library, and in NRE, may be fine. [Check with Borrowing Site? Or, check out and action to Shipped; Borrowing Site will stop the loan if the patron is really blocked.]
- Request: The Expiry Date is like a "Please-Fill-By" Date, automatically set to three business days so the request will move to the next institution in the rota if the first site has not answered Will Supply after three days.
